Stags ladies bowed out of the FA Women's Cup despite a spirited performance in a 4-0 defeat at Midland Combination side Derby County on Sunday.
Stags Ladies matched the higher league side, who have not lost a game all season, in every department except finishing.
Derby took the lead on 24 minutes when the striker mis-hit her shot and it looped over keeper Emma Horsnall.
They doubled th
eir lead four minutes before the break with a deflected shot.
Two minutes later Stags had the ball in the Derby net only for it to be mysteriously disallowed and a free kick given to Derby.
The Rams sealed the game in the 68th minute with their third, and completed the scoring 10 minutes later.
Samantha Sowerby had a solid game at left back for Stags.
The Stags Ladies can be proud of their acievements in the FA cup. Since reforming in 2002 this is the furthest they have gone in the competition.
They return to league action this Sunday with a home game against Loughborough Dynomo, 2pm kick off at Forest Town Welfare.
The reserves had no game this weekend, but the U16s lost 4-1, and the U14s won 6-0.
l On Friday night Stags Ladies U16s team did their bit for BBC Children in Need with a charity match against parents and supporters. Mansfield mayor Tony Eggington set proceedings under way by taking the kick off.
The parents and supporters were all in fancy dress, but despite laughing for 90 minutes at their opposition the girls were victorious with a 6-5 win.
A raffle and collection were made at the game and the girls raised over £200 for this very worthwhile charity.
