Local girls' second regional call

Rebecca Temple (12), a pupil of Brunts School and Hannah Liburd (13) of Rainworth Joseph Whitaker have been chosen for the second consecutive year to represent the East Midlands Girls Under 14 Basketball Team in the England Schools Basketball Association inter-regional tournament this weekend at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.
Rebecca and Hannah, following a lengthy selection process and various trials were picked as part of a squad of 10 players.
Hannah was also delighted when she was appointed team captain by coach Karen Goodrich.
Both girls currently play National League Basketball for Nottingham Wildcats and are extremely pleased with their success at this level.
They urge all girls of their age wishing to play basketball to contact their local clubs for a fun sport that keeps them fit.
